Nigerian singer and songwriter Asake has unfollowed everyone on Instagram, including his label boss, Olamide. He also ditched his label YBNL, which was boldly written on his Instagram bio, suggesting his time with the label has come to an end.
Though many had earlier assumed his departure from the YBNL following the absence of the label’s logo in his latest music video, Uhh Yeaah.
Following the recent development, fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the possible rift between Asake and Olamide. While others simply claim it’s business and people are meant to disagree and part ways, others claim loyalty is a thing and should have simply remained with Olamide’s YBNL.

But if you look back at Asake’s last album, he gave us all the insights into his journey. This is why I believe he’ll be the next artist to elevate Afrobeats to even greater heights. Wizkid and Sarz recognized this early, which is why they were quick to work with him. For the record, Olamide’s first Grammy nomination came courtesy of Asake, Let’s dive on Asake contract with YBNL….#mixofusng”.
