“I realized I wanted my face in a vagina” – Billie Eilish finally opens up on her sexuality

Eilish disclosed, "I’ve been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn’t understand — until, last year, I realized I wanted my face in a vagina."

In an exclusive cover story interview with Rolling Stone released on April 24, Billie Eilish, the 22-year-old renowned for hits like Ocean Eyes and Bad Guy, candidly discussed her journey towards accepting her sexuality, a topic she had initially preferred to keep private.

Reflecting on the forthcoming song Lunch from her upcoming album Hit Me Hard and Soft, Eilish revealed its significance in her self-discovery journey. “That song was actually part of what helped me become who I am, to be real,” she expressed, alluding to her sexuality. “I wrote some of it before even doing anything with a girl, and then wrote the rest after.”

Eilish disclosed, “I’ve been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn’t understand — until, last year, I realized I wanted my face in a vagina.”

Despite her personal revelation, the artist never intended to make her sexuality a public discussion. “It’s really frustrating to me that it came up,” she lamented, recalling the moment she came out to Variety in December.

Following the revelation, Eilish took to Instagram with a post captioned “Who f—ing cares?” expressing her frustration at the public’s fixation on her personal life.

“The whole world suddenly decided who I was, and I didn’t get to say anything or control any of it,” Eilish recalled. “Nobody should be pressured into being one thing or the other, and I think that there’s a lot of wanting labels all over the place.”

She continued, “Dude, I’ve known people that don’t know their sexuality, or feel comfortable with it, until they’re in their forties, fifties, sixties. It takes a while to find yourself, and I think it’s really unfair, the way that the internet bullies you into talking about who you are and what you are.”

Eilish revealed that she’s still in the process of understanding her sexuality, stating, “I’m only figuring out now.”

In a departure from her previous album releases, Eilish announced her third album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, scheduled for release on May 17. Unlike past rollouts with singles, Eilish will unveil the 10-track project all at once, marking a new approach to her musical releases.
